vending machine woes

Disclaimer: this post will lack paragraph breaks and a general sense of organization. I went for the small coffee this morning to continue amassing quarters for laundry. It didn’t have a corresponding lid. I hate not having a lid. I also need to prevent my hippocampus from incurring further deficits due to lack of sleep. At least I know it’s not just me — my memory really has gotten worse! … What? Going back to blogging on philosophical topics relevant to my classes might be a good idea. It helps me get more engaged in the material and ultimately to understand it more thoroughly. The man north of Gongaga gave me Great Gospel in exchange for my mithril and now that Aeris is at limit level 3 with Planet Protector, I just need to activate it four more times. I’m at the point right before the Temple of the Ancients too, so all of it will be a waste. I also think I’m going to make the commitment to Dvorak, even though my job depends on a lot of typing and I don’t know if I’ll have enough downtime to adjust to something. I guess I’m assuming that since I learned to type in Korean while maintaining qwerty proficiency, as long as I consider Dvorak a completely different system I’ll be fine.

coffee log

Filed under: Uncategorized, coffee, seattle — xy @ 9:48 am

I doubt I need to reiterate my affection for Seattle, but when Jaymie and I visited that gem of a town, we ran into a few familiar coffee places like Seattle’s Best and a little known place called Starbucks. One that we hadn’t heard of before though was Tully’s Coffee.

We picked up their house blend last night, described as “smooth - inviting - buttery” and indeed, it is all three. I ground up enough beans this morning to fill our grinder twice over and filled our mugs high, adding just a bit of chocolate soymilk to both drinks. I’d have to say this is one of the best home brews I’ve had - I can obviously only speak for myself. Still, it’s exciting, and I think I’ll have to make a habit of brewing this every morning, at least until the morning of the LSAT.
